Worked as Project Manager in an LSP for a couple of years, becoming accustomed to different workflows and CAT tools.

My name is Kristian and I was born & lived in Romania for 21 years in a native Hungarian family, therefore both my Hungarian and Romanian language skills are native. Starting from a young age I had a passion for English and managed to learn it to an advanced level, obtaining the Cambridge C1 certificate in Advanced English. Freelance translator for German, English, Romanian

All my courses and exams at the University were in English so I've been working as a technical translator after the graduation. I also had other jobs but the higher-education in English made me settle as a freelance technical translator.

After working for several years for different translation companies, as secondary job, offering translations services from English into Romanian, as well as from Romanian into English, mainly technical documents, I decided to offer my services as a freelance translator in Smartcat, as well. Some of the major companies for which I translated different types of documents I can name Kraft Jacobs Suchard, GlaxoSmithKline, Dexion, Kärcher, among sporadic jobs for Romanian companies. You will not be able to find any samples of my work, other than the standard Smartcat sample document, since I have never asked acceptance from my customers to use parts of the translated documents for personal purposes. However, if you consider this a prerequisite for a future collaboration, I would be glad to offer you a free of charge translation of a page from a document of your choice.
