Ricardo Jevoux is an experienced English translator and native speaker of Portuguese from Rio de Janeiro. He lives in Portugal where he works as a freelance linguist. His specializations are the localization of games and software, legal translations, manuals in the subject of engineering and pedagogy and particularly challenging texts. Mainly, I want to focus on using translation to facilitate communication between individuals and companies, as well as participating in entrepreneurial endeavors that catalyze socio-economic development. I have a depth of experience working in telecommunications, energy and new business development as well as 19 years of experience of translation and intercultural communication. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Translation and Localization Project Management at the University of Maryland, thus honing my translation skills, incorporating CAT Tools, MT and project management techniques into our company workflow and service delivery.
