I was born in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. During my high school years, I studied English and Arabic for four years. I started to learn Korean language two years before my high school graduation. Now I'm attending to 29 Mayıs University, Interpretation and Translation department in which I found a chance to take classes about Introduction to Translation, Translation-Oriented Text Analysis, Linguistics, Translation Technologies, Interpreting practices, Intercultural Communication Skills, Turkish for Translators, Academic Reading/Writing, Contemporary World Literature, Contemporary World Drama, World History and Arabic. I’m quite interested in literature. I like translating texts from different kind of domains such as medical, technical, literature, marketing and localization.

I have been doing freelance translations from German/English into Turkish since my college education. I have been providing professional translation, proofreading, editing, and transcription services for 6 years now. I am especially interested in projects around automotive, marketing, literature, and video games.

I graduated from Translation and Interpreting Studies Department in the year of 2012. As an undergraduate student at Boğaziçi University, I have improved my English speaking skills through the courses. Moreover, I cannot deny the great contribution of my visiting the USA and working there for three months. During my education I worked at different places, such as publishing houses, translation offices so as to gain experiences. Apart from translating legal and business documents for various local and international translation companies as a freelance translator, I have also edited a number of books, stories, poems and other creative texts. I also completed my M.A. in Comperative Literature at Istanbul Bilgi University, which contributed my academic and linguistic skills. Following that, I started my Phd at Translation and Interpreting Studies Department at Yıldız Technical University in 2017.

I have Bachelor's Degree in Translation & Interpreting Studies at Yeditepe University in Istanbul. Since the beginning of my education at this department, I have done many translations in EN > TR and TR > EN language pairs. I did my internship at ES Language Services, which is the first localization company to be established in Turkey and is widely known in localization sector. I have gained experience in website localization, IT texts and some other fields I listed on my profile during my internship and my education. I also translate contents for two magazines in Turkey, Düşünbil and Libido, and a translation newspaper, which can be found on www.ceviriyoruz.org website. As a passionate linguist, I made my debut in the translation and localization world in 2014, when I was only a freshman in the university. I started as an intern and ended up to be freelance translator at SDL Turkey for 2 years. During this period of time, I gained immense amount of experience and I learned how to use multiple translation tools.
