Hello dear vendor, I have studied Translation and Interpreting Studies at Yeditepe University. I am interested in IT, video games and video game localization, Automotive, technical and software fields. So, I can help your projects in these fields.

Working as localization specialist for major accounts in IT, marketing, ERP, technical and legal since 2015. Before being freelancer, I have worked in company which is exclusive SAP SE localization partner in Turkey. I took part in localization of corporate and legal texts as well as translation processes of the SAP SE systems. Aside from ERP, I have gained experience in IT, marketing and technical texts. During my career, I have also worked as a project manager for 9 months and managed projects for major companies from IT, marketing (mainly tourism and travel) and technical fields.

I have been working as a professional translator since sophomore class. After having graduated from Bilkent University's Translation and Interpretation Department in 2002, I worked in several sectors including media and advertisement, while also continuing my profession as a freelancer. For 4 years from early 2003 to 2007, I served as Foreign News and Health Page Editor in national newspaper Tercüman. In the meanwhile, for six issues I served as editor in chief for a monthly alternative health magazine called Bioenergy & Vitamins. Also in 2003, I established my own publishing and music production company, Arkaplan, together with my childhood friends. With Arkaplan we produced several music albums and published more than 10 books. One of the books (ISBN No: 9756128046) was my own title, covering my criticisms -as a young foreign news editor- on the history of Turkish conservative movement. In 2007, I decided to leave media sector and refocused on my original profession in linguistics. I started as Project Manager in Avrasya Translation, and after having gained some very valuable experience on clients, projects and translation tools I decided to continue as a full time freelance translator. I have been doing translations since 2006. I'm also running a translation agency, however that's a separate business, and you can be sure that all translations at smartcat are done by me personally. I am a certified translator, conference interpreter, engineer and Candidate of technical sciences (kandidat nauk). My language-related hobbies include etymology and comparative linguistics. * Yes, I do speak several languages. * No, I am not fluent enought in French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Polish, Azerbaijani or Arabic to translate TO these languages, but I do understand them enough to translate FROM them.

I have been working as a translator, proofreader, content producer and editor, copyright writer between English and Turkish languages, with more than 17 years of experience in providing highly accurate translating services for a range of clients and industries. I have been translating from English to my native Turkish since 1995. I have a n engineering background and a solid industrial experience in manufacturing, QA/QC and OHSA fields.

I'm working as a freelance translator since 2007 and my main expertise areas are IT, technical, and video games. I also work on marketing, social sciences, educational materials, and questionnaires in general. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and native speaker of Turkish, so I mostly work on English-Turkish pair. I can usually respond to e-mails no later than half an hour, I'm very strict about deadlines and take urgent jobs during work hours.
