My name is Germán and I am a native and bilingual Catalan/Castilian Spanish speaker. As a freelancer, I provide services in two main areas: - Translation English to Spanish, English to Catalan, Spanish to Catalan and Catalan to Spanish. - Proofreading Spanish and Catalan texts. I have a degree in Surveying and I worked as surveyor and GIS specialist. And I studied English at UOC University. I self-studied SEO, Social Media and Wordpress. As translator I translated some technical manuals, documents, mobile apps, websites, and other documentation. That comes, of course, from having a genuine interest in Languages and Translation since I was a child and constant curiosity in researching different topics. I enjoy translation for many reasons. I have always had an interest in foreign languages and cultures, so it is a pleasure for me to have the opportunity to work with them. I also find the process of researching a subject to ensure a solid translation to be particularly satisfying, as well as investigating the expressive possibilities of my target language, an aspect of the translation process that is often overlooked and yet an important element of the quality of the final product. The type of translation that most attracts my attention is literary, although I have extensive demonstrable experience in the field of technical translation (recent projects being for the nautical and stone industry).
