I am a qualified translator with a Bachelor of English Language and Professional Translator accreditation with the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters in Buenos Aires, Argentina. For the past nineteen years I have worked for several end customers and agencies, providing translation services. I am completely fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese and Italian and received high distinction in all my language courses. I am a biologist and I have lived, studied and/or worked in USA and Germany. I love translating and paying attention to every detail, and I adapt myself to the needs of the clients. For me, it is very important that the translation is as clear as the text in the original language. I speak fluently Spanish, German and English.

I have worked in-house as a PM and a translator both in Canada and in Argentina. I have been working with agencies around the world (China, US, Canada, France, etc.) for more than 15 years. Apart from having a translation degree, I have studied philosophy at the university, which provides me with additional tools that allow me to understand texts in depth and, most importantly, find the most accurate translation for every term because, after all, what is translation but giving a thing the precise name designated by a culture for it?

I enjoy translation for many reasons. I have always had an interest in foreign languages and cultures, so it is a pleasure for me to have the opportunity to work with them. I also find the process of researching a subject to ensure a solid translation to be particularly satisfying, as well as investigating the expressive possibilities of my target language, an aspect of the translation process that is often overlooked and yet an important element of the quality of the final product. I have experience using tools such as Trados or Memsource, as well as the various reliable reference sources for each language (DIEC; Treccani; RAE; Τριανταφυλλίδη...). The type of translation that most attracts my attention is literary, although I have extensive demonstrable experience in the field of technical translation (recent projects being for the nautical and stone industry). I have been studying the English language for 20 years and my level is C1 (certified). I am available to accept jobs from 8:00 am (GMT -3) until 10:00 pm (GMT -3) during the week.
