I am an English philologist whose biggest passions are languages and literature. My fields of expertise go from world's literatures to linguistics and language acquisition. Besides, I've furthered my expertise with an MA in Spanish as foreing language. I love learning about different cultures and traditions and trying to comprehend them so I can do better translations. Furthermore, as I love reading, I think that the best way to grasp an author's work is being able to read it in its own language. I also think it is important to learn languages because it brings people closer allowing a better understanding between them and that is the reason why I like translating: it builds bridges. Mainly, my working experience has involved education working as English and Spanish teacher in schools and freelance. Finally, I would like to obtain working experience as a translator because I would love working in the videogames industry as a linguistic tester because gaming is one of my hobbies.

I am a Journalist with a strong determination and attention to detail in terms of writing and translating from English to Spanish and vice versa. I enjoy translation jobs as I like to find the best and more accurate expressions and words to precisely explain what is written in another language. Studying Spanish and English since I was a child and living and working in both cultures made me polish both languages until I could use them indistinctly in a professional manner. Since I have been translating and editing texts since 2017, I have the confidence to undertake large technical, scientific and informal projects and deliver them within the arranged deadline. I am a committed professional, and therefore, I am open to reviewing my work if needed as many times as required by the client.

I enjoy translation for many reasons. I have always had an interest in foreign languages and cultures, so it is a pleasure for me to have the opportunity to work with them. I also find the process of researching a subject to ensure a solid translation to be particularly satisfying, as well as investigating the expressive possibilities of my target language, an aspect of the translation process that is often overlooked and yet an important element of the quality of the final product. I have experience using tools such as Trados or Memsource, as well as the various reliable reference sources for each language (DIEC; Treccani; RAE; Τριανταφυλλίδη...). The type of translation that most attracts my attention is literary, although I have extensive demonstrable experience in the field of technical translation (recent projects being for the nautical and stone industry). I've been working as a translator and interpreter for more than 25 years and I've acquired a lot of experience in various fields such as legal, engineering, information technology, power plants, oil&gas, etc. However, I'm far from resting on my laurels since I understand very well that the languages are dynamic and the world is constantly changing, so I'm in the constant pursuit of new skills and knowledge that'd help me to stay up-to-date and do my job in the most efficient and precise manner.
