Lawyer with 9 years of experience in corporate law, capital markets law, general business law and finance. Founder and current managing director of Indigo Translations Mexico City where we focus on providing technical document translation services to companies, financial institutions and law firms in Mexico and abroad. Prior to founding Indigo Translations, for approximately 8 years I worked as an associate of the M&A and Capital Markets practice of Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez, S.C., a law firm based in Mexico City, where I had the opportunity to participate in the negotiation and advice on some of the most representative mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, spin-offs and liquidations occurred in the Mexican market during the last years, representing national and international companies, private equity funds and venture capital funds as well as in the drafting of transactional documentation for sundry industries. I am a professional translator since 2012. I grew up in France in a Spanish family, so I learned very early both languages. I studied law in France and Spain so I can translate to both languages. I am a sworn translator before the Tribunal Judiciaire of Perpignan and often perform translations and interpretations for this institution in the legal field (hearings, confrontations, reports, court decisions etc ..) I translate websites, contracts, business presentations, products descriptions, medical records etc ....

About me Growing up bilingual When I was 10-years-old, my family moved from Spain to Colorado, USA. I attended middle school there and all of my friends were American. After just 9 months no one could believe I was not born American. Learning a language this way is the most effective and efficient way to learn it. As a child, you just simply take everything in and while learning a new language, you are also learning a new culture and way of thinking. At age 13 I moved back to Spain. I was then able to cement my Spanish cultural roots. Then, when I was 15-years-old, we moved again, this time to Portugal. Here I was able to learn Portuguese at still an early age. After obtaining two University Degrees, in Law and Business Administration, and an MBA in International Business Management, I worked for several years as a lawyer, external auditor in PwC, financial controller and cost manager in several countries around the world. Throughout this time, I also worked as a freelance translator and reviser for a Law Firm for over 8 years. It then became clear to me that I was meant to be a translator and now I work as a full-time translator and reviser.

I have translated ever since my college graduation. I translate in the combinations Spanish-English, and German-English. I specialized in translating contracts, novels, certificates, certifications, wills, deeds, court sentences. Furthermore, I have translated for mining and drug companies. I work on projects concerning to drug information, medical reports, drug test results, leasing of mines, information about minerals, among others. Furthermore, I have translated novels, and poetry books. I love what I do. Currently, I am learning Portuguese and French in order to be able to translate from those languages to English.
