I have been a translator for over 10 years. I speak Ukrainian and Russian (bilingual). I also speak, read and write in Polish, as it was my grandmother's mother tongue. Being a professional translator, during employment as professor of English and post-graduate studies between 1999 and 2015, did various translations on a free-lance basis; provided prompt and accurate written translations of procedures, methods, reports, memos, letters, manuals, training materials and other documents; performed interpretation as needed for both formal and informal meetings, training programs, and presentations; edited and formatted both English and Russian texts; reviewed and evaluated work done by other translators and interpreters.

I have been working for governmental organizations in Armenia for more than 10 years, translating political texts for official websites, as well as offical documents and notes. I am fluent in political lexicology at the same time being really interested in other spheres as well such as business, management, marketing, IT, economics, finances and many others.

I am a sworn translator Dutch-Russian, Russian-Dutch (bilingual) with an excellent knowledge of English and a broad spectrum of interests. My main experience is in finance, business documentation, tourism, transport, etc. My first higher education in economics and management extended my boundaries of understanding how business works in different countries. My translation career encompasses diverse areas, from movie industry (translating for Hollywood film stars (Jon Voight, Sammi Davis) to translating for roughnecks on drilling rigs in Siberia. This hands-on experience in various occupations, combined with technical background in survey & mapping, allows me to produce accurate, precise translations of even the most complicated texts. I have been working as a freelance translator since 2006, with more than 6 million words translated to date. I first started my translation career in mid 1980-ies with a few odd translation / interpretation jobs of a few months each. I then went on to work as a staff translator for the first Soviet-US JV White Nights in 1990 and continued to pursue this career with several other JVs and US companies until 2006, when I became a full-time freelance translator. Besides working as a translator during that period, I also held several other positions in procurement, logistics and administration at these companies, which subsequently proved to be a valuable source of knowledge for my work as an independent translator after 2006.
