I'm a licensed translator from French, English, Spanish and Italian languages. I have a Ph.D degree in linguistics for researching short French science-popular movies, so I have a large experience in movie translation that I like very much. Besides, I took a course of advanced training in hospitality in French after which I worked in a French company as animator. Also, I underwent training in an aviation agency for a year where I worked as a translator then. Always learning, always hardworking.

I have been lucky enough to travel across the world from a very young age, and this has given me the opportunity to gain exposure in various fields of work with skillful professionals. I aspire to represent myself accordingly given my work ethic and experience. Native Russian speaker. Wide experience in General and Marketing translations and many other fields, I use CAT software and perform 100% human translations, my translations are proofread in order to keep the flow, sense and meaning of the original text. I've been translating professionally since the end of 2015, and as a hobby for more than a decade. I can deliver around 1500+ words per day (200+ words per hour).

My translation career encompasses diverse areas, from movie industry (translating for Hollywood film stars (Jon Voight, Sammi Davis) to translating for roughnecks on drilling rigs in Siberia. This hands-on experience in various occupations, combined with technical background in survey & mapping, allows me to produce accurate, precise translations of even the most complicated texts. I have been working as a freelance translator since 2006, with more than 6 million words translated to date. I first started my translation career in mid 1980-ies with a few odd translation / interpretation jobs of a few months each. I then went on to work as a staff translator for the first Soviet-US JV White Nights in 1990 and continued to pursue this career with several other JVs and US companies until 2006, when I became a full-time freelance translator. Besides working as a translator during that period, I also held several other positions in procurement, logistics and administration at these companies, which subsequently proved to be a valuable source of knowledge for my work as an independent translator after 2006.
