Brazilian Portuguese Translator

I have a degree in Law and I am a lawyer and I have a degree in Pharmacy having worked both in the pharmaceutical industry and managing a pharmacy. Since 2011 I decided to make translation a full time job and I do not regret it at all. I specialize in medical, pharmaceutical and legal translations but I also translate many other subjects. I am a verified technical translator by Kuban State University of Technology (Russia) and I provide translation services with a high level of excellence! I have the Mozambique dialect as well and about 2 years of experience in gaming (wargaming) translation.

I am native Portuguese with excellent grammar, punctuation and spelling skills and I have almost as great skills in English. My brain is definitely bilingual. I have been a freelance Professional Translator since 2013, specializing in Business, Marketing and Social Sciences. However, I have also performed successful translations in many other different fields, such as website and app contents, legal contracts, technical manuals, automotive systems, coaching materials, among others. I am very detail and quality oriented. Before that, I was an Administrative Assistant for over 5 years. I translated some website articles as a volunteer (since 2010) and I worked for an import/export company where I was responsible for all external communications (English/Spanish). I also performed some translation work in one of the companies I worked in. I use SDL Trados 2011, but I always check my translations, sentence by sentence, for grammar, meaning and vocabulary use - no automatic translations! I am also very proficient in manual translations, which many clients demand in order to attain better quality.

9 years of experience with translation, proofreading, and editing from English into Brazilian and European Portuguese. I started at Demand Media Studios and WikiHow back in 2013 translating do-it-yourself and general knowledge articles. Then, I moved to Upwork and Elance to try and build partnerships with some direct clients. 534 tracked hours on Upwork and 390 contracts since 2014. 549,371 words translated on Gengo, with more than 1,287 tracked hours. 7,780 words on MotaWord since 2015. I'm a freelance technical translator and editor in the language pair EN-PT(pt). I have 10 years of experience in the IT and computing areas translating technical and marketing material for leading tech companies and brands in the international hardware and software market. I'm specialized in IT, computer software and hardware, consumer electronics, Internet, social media, and telecommunications. My other fields of experience include games/software localization and testing, business and finance, marketing and advertising, and tourism.

I am both a Business Management and a Social Communication Bachelor, which I believe is a great advantage for understanding the corporative universe and advertisement industry. For that reason, I have knowledge of the specific vocabulary involving management, HR, finance, marketing, advertisement and so on. Besides that, I teach English to lawyers, accountants, admen and managers in Brazil as a private teacher, not only having to prepare specific classes, but also having to edit and proofread their emails and reports. Additionally, I have translated hospitality information and tour guides for a travel company. Given the growing exchange between countries, it is fundamental that services and products are accessible to an ever-wider number of people.
