I am a transparent, goal-oriented, and perfectionist professional with a positive perspective. I enjoy remote work and carefully follow instructions and I find it easy to work for long periods including during the night and maintain my attention to detail. That comes, of course, from having a genuine interest in Languages and Translation since I was a child and constant curiosity in researching different topics. I provide translation, retroversion, proofreading, transcription, and captioning services in general and specialized domains with appropriate technical resources. I have been translating technical, business and private contents from English to Portuguese for more than 10 years. Throughout this time, I have translated and proofread documents such as, hospital equipment catalog, questionnaire, medical forms, surveys, restaurant menus, letters, product list, prenuptial agreement, nautical manual, children and adult apps, casino games, real state software among other documents. Besides my current position as a freelance Translator, I have some experience in Subtitling, considering rules of synchronization and how to use subtitling software. I can also act as a Transcriptionist, understanding basic rules of verbatim and true verbatim transcription.

I started translating in 2005 when I was a teenager. I had a Brazilian forum about a Korean singer and most of the news we've got were in English. I translated all the English news we could find into Portuguese so our friends and visitors could read too. In 2009 I got into Languages course in college, thinking in becoming a literary translator since I really love to read. I translated short stories, ended up learning how to subtitle, all to family and friends. Late in 2015, I started my specialization in English - Portuguese translation where I've learned a lot about this amazing career. In 2016 I got my first paid jobs in translation and I've joined Babelcube, Coursera, and TedTalks to improve my skills. Today, I translate more technical texts than literature. But I can't say it isn't amazing. I've learned so many new things, and so much about myself in the process that I must say it is a win-win situation.

I am a Brazilian native translator working with the English-Portuguese pair for the past 5 years. Before that, I’ve worked in the IT industry for over 20 years in the software sector, having ample knowledge of software development, project management, and business processes.
