I'm a post-graduation professor and former IBM consultant, Brazilian, living in the metropolitan area of São Paulo. As a certified translator for the pair English into Brazilian Portuguese, I’m interested in new opportunities and starting long-term relationships. The fields I have done translation work include scientific articles, telecom, websites, ERP, legal, marketing, petroleum, engineering, technical manual, IT, software localization, HR, and other subjects. I hold four degrees in Business Administration, a BA, two Master's degrees, and a doctorate from The University of Liverpool.

I am native Portuguese with excellent grammar, punctuation and spelling skills and I have almost as great skills in English. My brain is definitely bilingual. I have been a freelance Professional Translator since 2013, specializing in Business, Marketing and Social Sciences. However, I have also performed successful translations in many other different fields, such as website and app contents, legal contracts, technical manuals, automotive systems, coaching materials, among others. I am very detail and quality oriented. Before that, I was an Administrative Assistant for over 5 years. I translated some website articles as a volunteer (since 2010) and I worked for an import/export company where I was responsible for all external communications (English/Spanish). I also performed some translation work in one of the companies I worked in. I use SDL Trados 2011, but I always check my translations, sentence by sentence, for grammar, meaning and vocabulary use - no automatic translations! I am also very proficient in manual translations, which many clients demand in order to attain better quality.

I am a student at Brigham Young University. I am majoring in Portuguese and minoring in Translation and Localization. I have worked as a translator and project manager for Mormon Insights (a BYU website that publishes religious articles) for 4 months.

I graduated in Translation and Language Studies (Letras) in 2004 and also work as an English and Portuguese teacher at public schools since 2005. During this period I have been working as a freelance translator and proof-reader and, truly, that is my passion.
