My name's Joanna Taras. I've been an English teacher for more than 10 years and a freelance translator for over 4 - although it goes further than that, as I've always been passionate about the language – reading, translating, and improving my skills. I have very good organizational skills and work well under pressure. Furthermore, I'm a conscientious person and meet deadlines perfectly.

I provide EN/ES>PL and PL>EN translations. I have both managerial and translation experience from international companies. My educational background is law. I specialize in legal/finance/business/marketing and general translations. I use various CAT and I am willing to learn new tools as required. I work in flexible hours depending on open projects. I started my adventure with languages when I was 16 years old. Learning new vocabulary and translating the texts (mostly about entertainment, photography, news, games, or travel) became my favorite thing to do. Right now, after more than ten years, I still feel very passionate about languages, and I am improving my skills and learning additionally French, Spanish, Japanese, or Korean.

I am a freelance German/English <> Polish translator specialising in technical, marketing and community translations. I also hold credentials of a NAATI Certified Translator (English to Polish) and a NAATI Recognised Practising Translator (German to Polish), for the latter as the only translator with such credentials in Australia. I am a member of POLSiT (the Australian Institute of the Polish Language Interpreters and Translators) and AUSIT (the Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators).
