I´m experienced in specialized texts (health, medicine and pharmaceutics, technology, economy, finance, law, marketing, cosmetics and others). I've got a C1 Certificate of Spanish (DELE), preparing for C2. I´ve got a Master´s degree in Specialized Translation (FR-ES, EN-ES) from the University of Cordoba, Spain. I also studied French Philology at the Jagiellonian University of Cracow, Poland (Bachelor). I always meet deadlines and I use specialized sources to guarantee the correct use of terminology. My name's Joanna Taras. I've been an English teacher for more than 10 years and a freelance translator for over 4 - although it goes further than that, as I've always been passionate about the language – reading, translating, and improving my skills. I have very good organizational skills and work well under pressure. Furthermore, I'm a conscientious person and meet deadlines perfectly.

I started my adventure with languages when I was 16 years old. Learning new vocabulary and translating the texts (mostly about entertainment, photography, news, games, or travel) became my favorite thing to do. Right now, after more than ten years, I still feel very passionate about languages, and I am improving my skills and learning additionally French, Spanish, Japanese, or Korean.

I have experience mainly in general, business and medical (dentistry) translation.

I have finished MA studies in Philology and Translation, currently I work in translation office in Warsaw. My native languages are Ukrainian and Russian, I am also fluent in English and Polish. I live in Poland for 5 years already.
