My name is Kasia and I am a Law graduate from Wrocław, Poland. My language skills are confirmed by two official certificates: In English - LINGUASKILL C1 [Linguaskill assesses English language ability from below A1 to C1 or above of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR)]. My Spanish skills are certified by DELE C1 diploma. I am currently studying to obtain Master in Institutional Translation. Taking into account my previous experience at work and during my studies, I feel comfortable especially working on legal documents, contracts, official announcements, resolutions, etc. That being said, I am available also for translations of general topics. I did my master's thesis on international law (concerning the environmental law) which is my scope of interest as well.

Polish freelance translator and proofreader. More than 10 year experience in translation and proofreading for EU institutions and agendas, including CORDIS ( Community Research and Development Information Service) - the gateway to European research and development; articles on scientific research in health care, medicine, environment, biology, technology, physics, IT, European policies, etc. Linguist with a pronounced predilection for social psychology and its sociocultural perspective. Another area fascinating me is the functioning of the brain and its role in guiding human’s behaviours, shaping the memories and perceptions. To understand better its intricacy and function at a higher level, I am studying the functional anatomy of the human brain. Definitely a dog person with an interest in canine behaviour. A keen amateur photographer (still assimilating various techniques) and an avid gardener. I’m fond of classical and jazz music.

I have been dealing with several different professions so far. At the beginning I worked as a teacher at Primary School. Then I worked for a company in whcih I was responsible for hte following issues: - -Making payrolls. - entering invoices in the books, - drawing up and sending documents and e-documents to governmental offices, - translations (written and oral) and interpreting (during business meetings). Year later I began to work for my present job where I mainly have similar duties as in my previous job but, apart from them, I had to master some more: - maintaining good business relations with current business partners, - accepting and fulfiling purchase orders, - coordinating the whole process from the order to the shipment of a given product, - coordinating shipments, - finding new business partners worldwide, - keeping export documents, - participation in international trade fairs.
