My name's Joanna Taras. I've been an English teacher for more than 10 years and a freelance translator for over 4 - although it goes further than that, as I've always been passionate about the language – reading, translating, and improving my skills. Year later I began to work for my present job where I mainly have similar duties as in my previous job but, apart from them, I had to master some more: - maintaining good business relations with current business partners, - accepting and fulfiling purchase orders, - coordinating the whole process from the order to the shipment of a given product, - coordinating shipments, - finding new business partners worldwide, - keeping export documents, - participation in international trade fairs.

My name is Magda and I have been a translator since 2006. I graduated applied linguistics with specialization in English and German and a postgraduate school of legal translation. I obtained also qualifications in audio-visual translation and translated 9 documentaries. I specialize in the fields of law, business, marketing, medicine and humanities.

I´m experienced in specialized texts (health, medicine and pharmaceutics, technology, economy, finance, law, marketing, cosmetics and others). I've got a C1 Certificate of Spanish (DELE), preparing for C2. I´ve got a Master´s degree in Specialized Translation (FR-ES, EN-ES) from the University of Cordoba, Spain. I started working as a translator in 2015 after having completed my M.A. Degree in Literary and Audiovisual Translation at the Univeritat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. I have translated more than 15 books and have worked with different agencies, companies and publishing house from Poland, Spain (where I have been living since 2009) and from other parts of the world.

Another area fascinating me is the functioning of the brain and its role in guiding human’s behaviours, shaping the memories and perceptions. To understand better its intricacy and function at a higher level, I am studying the functional anatomy of the human brain. Definitely a dog person with an interest in canine behaviour.
