Hello! My name is Arif Furqon. I am a fulltime translator specialising in IT, Technical, and Marketing fields. I am a very dedicated translator and very commited to translation business. What I believe a translation should look like - A translation shouldn’t look like a translation. I started as a freelance translator in 2017, started by translating Japanese novels, songs, works, etc. Mostly focusing on novels, songs, and articles in EN-JP/ID.

Translating tourism, hospitality, and mostly UI for websites and applications since 2019

Has been in translation industry for over 14 years with solid experience to offer, an internet and research savvy that pays attention to details and messages, and has been working for vast variety of clients and subjects.

Upon graduation from Bina Nusantara University in 2009, I directly worked for Business Advisory Indonesia until my resignation in 2015 as an Assistant Managing Editor. From 2016 to 2019, I worked at PT. Legal Centric Indonesia with the last position as the Head of Translation Division. In addition to my formal working experience as a translator/editor, I also provided translation services for some companies and organizations. Together with my friends, I founded ASJ Translation in 2017. I passed the Indonesian Translators’ Qualification Examination held by the Professional Certification Agency of University of Indonesia in 2021 for the English-Indonesian language pair. On 5 October 2022, I took an oath as a sworn translator administered by the Directorate General of Legal Administrative Affairs. I also took the Assessment of Sworn Translators for Professionals in 2022 for the Indonesian-English language pair in order to complete my qualifications.

I am an Indonesian student studying currently in Russia. a highly qualified Freelance Translator with experience in the many different fields. Being in translation industry since 2013, I have been involved in numerous projects for reputable end clients in many sectors, including Quiznos in Finance, Boehringer Ingelheim in General health, National Geographic and LION Magazine in Social & Humanity, Mercedes-Benz in Electric Mobility and Practicum by Yandex in Information Technology. I have also served many academics from prominent national universities, including Padjadjaran University, University of Indonesia, Indonesia University of Education, and IPB University. I always deliver the results as I promise, and sometimes prior to the agreed deadlines.

A passionate linguist with background in IT/Computer Science. More than 9 years experience providing translation for English - Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) language pair. I have specialized in IT (Project/Website/Mobile Gaming) field. Worked for major companies, providing translation for various products/platforms. I have interest in sports (non-gambling), marketing, business, religion and movies.
