As a reliable, ambitious, diligent and self-directed and motivated translator, proof-reader and editor with 14 years of experience, I offer quality, immaculate and swift service to my current and potential valued clients. Most of my clients work with me for a long term. I offer my service in all text related domains. However, I am specialised in medical, legal, tourism, self-help and psychology translations. Also, I am a keen reader of fiction, and therefore I love to translate novels and stories of any kind. I proofread and copyedit my translations, which results in accurate final results. On average, I translate and proofread about 35,000 words a week. I had and have many satisfied clients from many different industries: Medical doctors, holistic medical doctors, nutritional and environmental medicine specialists, ayurvedic consultants, wellness coaches, lawyers, scientists, authors, students and non-profit organisations. I hold a B.A. (Languages) degree, two Project Management diplomas and a certificate in html/css and web design, as well as a TEFL diploma, amongst others. I have excellent time management skills, outstanding attention to detail and a highly professional work ethic. ​I have been editing and proofreading university theses, novel and literature manuscripts, newsletter and other publications on a freelance basis since 2002. Fluent in English, Afrikaans and German, with a strong proficiency in Dutch, I offer multiple professional linguistic services. I was employed as a Marketing and Communications Specialist in South Africa for Investec Bank, Commercial Union and Mutual & Federal. After moving to New Zealand, I became the online marketing and communications manager for Spicers Wealth Management in Auckland, followed by senior online communications manager for Tower Financial Advisory Services. I relocated permanently to Ireland in 2012, and am based in Dublin city.

I am a German and French qualified lawyer who has worked for over 20 years as a legal consultant and attorney in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and other jurisdictions. Last year, I relocated to Normandy / France and took a one-year sabbatical. Since January 2022, I have started a language service company and offer legal and book translation services and German and English business language courses. I translate from English or French to German and French or German to English. To maintain the highest quality standards, I currently do not offer translation to French or any other language.

With a long and extensive background in the corporate world (US, CY & NL companies) in leading positions, I have managed to become a well-rounded specialist with strong expertise in Customer Services, Management, Account Management, Direct Selling, Compliance (within Direct Selling) obtained in international, multicultural environments of the sectors Tourism, e-Commerce, Telecom, FMCG, Financial Trading and Crowdfunding. I have translated text throughout my entire professional career, and am fully bilingual in the language pair EN-DE, DE-EN, and EN/DE - NL. I live in the Netherlands for over 19 years now, am a native German, and work as a freelance translator here and on other platforms for more than 5 years.

I am a native German and a professional translator for 22 years. During this time I specialized in technical, medical, legal, IT and website translations. Over the past years, I have also translated a couple of books (novels) for both well-known international authors and emerging writers.
