Editor and translator for EN/DE, trained at a business school in Vienna/Austria. Founder and director of Building Bridges Translations (2021). Since 2004 I participated in numerous projects translating and editing complete websites and handbooks for the technical and electronical industry, but also hotel prose. I translated and edited subtitles for several movies and documenteries. Three years I worked as fulltime Siri Data Analyst and Software Tester at Apple European HQ in Cork/Ireland, where I took part in tasks for testing and improving localization and speech recognition coding tools for the Austrian, German, and Swiss market.

I am an extremely responsible person and possess almost 5 years' experience in the world of translation, during which I have gained excellent mastery of texts and topics in many areas. Foreign languages are my passion, so I am approaching my work in a rigorous and demanding manner. I will be happy to assist you with all your translations!

As a trained European Merchant, with additional subject-specific training for lawyers in English, I have worked as a sales assistant, sales representative and recruiter for about 10 years, before I started freelancing full-time in 2009. Translating patents (technical English and German) became the main focus of my work as well as manuals and instructions, product descriptions and free style writing. As my clients are lawyers, manufacturing companies, marketing agencies and many more, I enjoy delivering anything from legal language to more creative writing. Working as a freelance translator since 2006

Hi, I'm John Allan Roeser, an experienced translator with a proven track record in English to German and Dutch translations, and vice versa. I grew up in the Netherlands near the German border, attended a German school, and had friends from Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium, which allowed me to develop fluency in both German and Dutch. Since 2011, I've gained valuable experience in multilingual tasks through my work experience as both a BPO contractor and an in-house employee. I have provided translation services for various industries, including marketing, legal, technical, and medical fields. I had a few projects on Tolq but mainly worked here on Smartcat, where I've completed 410 projects to date. Thorsten, the owner/consultant, has over 25 years experience working in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Contract Management and Customer Services for large and small (multi)national/multi-site private and public organisations; such as Philips Electronics NV, Dow Chemicals Ltd, Johnson Matthey Catalysts Plc, Local Government, NHS, Ubisoft, CEVA Logistics, Caterpillar, NSK Europe, Avaya and Teleperformance UK. Born and raised in The Netherlands to a Dutch mother and a German father, languages have always been a part of his life. At secondary school also studied French and Spanish, but these are not strong enough to provide translation services for. Moved to the UK in 2000 where his language skills were in great demand by purchasing/supply chain management/procurement/contract management/logistics and customer service departments.
