I have been certified as a translator in English by the Federal Republic of Germany in Karlsruhe and in my work I am dedicated to thoroughness, exactness and intelligibility. My interests cover such areas as history, politics, philosophy, science fiction, fantasy and horror literature. My favorite book is Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell and my most-read authors are Stephen King, H. P. Lovecraft and Clive Barker.

Language has always fascinated me-not merely the speaking of foreign languages but the act of translation in particular. Transforming the precise meaning of a text and making it alive in a different language requires more than an excellent command of the grammar and vocabulary of the target language. The translated text needs to sound natural and fluent, and maintaining the correct context is similarly essential. Translation of web-based e-commerce​ pages, for instance, is very different from translating an academic text or a literary piece. Engineer and Technical writer

Having studied Dutch, International and European (Corporate and Commercial) Law in Maastricht on Master level and being half Dutch I'm able to master the Dutch language on a fairly high level. Also, I have achieved the official language certificate NT2 II which refers to level B2/C1 and is aimed at university level. My English skills are mirrored by two Cambridge Certificates (FCE and CAE which refer to the level B2 and C1) combined with 15/15 points for my Abitur-exam in 2012.
