Freelancing gives me more time with my wife and three young boys and the flexibility to explore the world. It also allows me to work with people from all over the world and from different backgrounds. I have lived and worked (on location) in France, the Netherlands, Japan, UK, New Zealand, and New York, and am fully trilingual in English, French and Japanese and conversant in Spanish. I'm passionate about helping humanity and improving the communities I live in.

I've always had a passion for languages! Born in France, I grew up speaking French and learning English and German in school from an early age. I also touched on Italian, Spanish and Greek. But ultimately, my career led me to focus on English. I left France at the age of 30, stayed for 2 years in the USA, and have now been living in Canada since 2015. My background is scientific: I have several degrees in the biomedical and life sciences fields, including a Ph.D. in Biotechnology. I have over 10 years of experience in healthcare and research. During that time, I also offered translation services in my field as a secondary part-time activity. As of 2020, I am now a full-time translator English-to-French and French-to-English. My main interests remain in the medical/health sciences field, but I am also interested in a variety of other subjects that are not necessarily science related.
