Professional translator

I have been working in companies in Hamburg for the past two years as a student assistant. In the last two jobs I had (one at a statistics company and another at an international cooperation NGO) I have been tasked regularly to translate documents from French to English and from English to French. Additionally, I grew up in the bilingual city of Montréal where these two languages are used interchangeably. I did all my elementary and secondary education in French and all my university (first and second cycles) in English.

For 23 years, my life and professional experiences (both in the private and public sectors) have given me expertise in many fields such as ICT, HR, organic agriculture, short circuits, alternative medicines, etc. I am a cyber-nomad who likes to discover and translation allows me to learn and share new knowledges to the greatest number of people. I've always had a passion for languages! Born in France, I grew up speaking French and learning English and German in school from an early age. I also touched on Italian, Spanish and Greek. But ultimately, my career led me to focus on English. I left France at the age of 30, stayed for 2 years in the USA, and have now been living in Canada since 2015. My background is scientific: I have several degrees in the biomedical and life sciences fields, including a Ph.D. in Biotechnology. I have over 10 years of experience in healthcare and research. During that time, I also offered translation services in my field as a secondary part-time activity. As of 2020, I am now a full-time translator English-to-French and French-to-English. My main interests remain in the medical/health sciences field, but I am also interested in a variety of other subjects that are not necessarily science related.
