My name Ulrich DOUO, I am a qualified translator with a university degree in English, my native language is French (I am from Côte d'Ivoire but living in Ghana - Africa) and I have been working as a freelance translator for the past 10 years. Having specialized in the areas of legal, economic and technical texts, I have gathered substantial experience in these fields. I am a English & German native speaker with a great passion for language. Since 2014 I have been working as English to German freelance translator. In addition to that I have also gained valuable in-house experience by working at established and well-known translation agencies occupying roles as translation checker and proof-reader as well as project manager and translator.

Additionally to the classes about electro-technics, fabrication processes in the automobile industry and nanotechnologies I took while I was studying conference interpreting at the University of Saarland, I have work experience as in-house translator in a technical translation agency and an e-commerce company that offers a wide variety of professional products - from deep fryers and refrigerators to tools and massage tables. Furthermore, I am very interested in renewable energies, environment protection, electric vehicles, food and drinks, and video games. Up to now, I have mostly translated product description, CRM messages, marketing content and user's manuals. I believe that a good translation is easy to read and feels natural in the target language.
