I have a 9 years experience, having translated more than a million words all in all in my career, not counting all the translations I do for fun because I just like it ! I have a degree in biological engineering, completed by my vast general culture and professional experience in leadership positions in various companies, which means I can handle very well any topic from medicine to finance and marketing through video games and social sciences. I'm originally from Belgium but I now live in Côte d'Ivoire, which means I can do translations localized for both European and African audiences. My mantra is : if it sounds good, then it is good. It is utmost important for me that the audience cannot guess that they are reading a translation : they must feel as if the document was originally written by a native speaker. That is my objective. I have been working as a translator since 2018, when I started to attend the Languages and Cultures for Tourism and International Mediation course at the University of Bari. I graduated with the highest grade (110 e lode) and started my specialisation at the University of Turin (a Translation course focusing on literary translation). I work from both English and French and I am fond of literature: novels, poetry, theatre are my highest aims.

I have been working as a freelance translator for the past 21 years. I do not own a university degree in translation/interpretation, but the multitude of translation projects I have worked on over the years has done more for my capacity as a translator than any degree could have ever done. Though French is my mother tongue, I have spent the last 21 years living both in French and English (my partner is an American citizen). As a translator, I am both thorough and efficient, and I always meet my deadlines.
