English to French Translator

I am a senior French translator (EN, ES and PT into FR) with 12 years of experience in economics, business, and legal translation (and 7 years of prior experience in IT services sales teams). I have a comprehensive knowledge of CAT and DTP tools and strong skills in text editing, terminology management and project coordination. I first graduated from a French Business School (EDHEC 1995) and worked as an IT services saleswoman for 7 years (sectors: aeronautics and defence; health industry). Then I quit my position to study translation for 3 years, graduated from the ESIT in 2007, and joined the French Ministry for the Economy and Finance as a translator the same year (after a competitive examination). In 2014, I joined the OECD French translation division (after another competitive examination) to work mainly on the BEPS Project (OECD/G20 project to fight tax evasion). In 2020, I started working as a freelancer, which allowed me to move from Paris to Normandy (life quality: +3000%).

I am an English-Haitian Creole translator with about 6 years of experience in this field. I have an Excellent knowledge of the English language while being a native Haitian Creole speaker and living in Haiti. I do both medical and general translations. I have worked on religious and educational project such as translation of books for kids, books that are used to teach Haitian Creole. To me every job is a challenge, and I give myself entirely for each of them. I am responsible, creative and I respect my deadlines. I can also be very fast if the amount is motivating. Professional translator

I am currently enrolled in a Multilingual Master in Psycho- and Neurolinguistics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). I studied French, Latin and English language and literature at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven). I also have studied medicine at the University of Liège (ULiège).

I have been working in companies in Hamburg for the past two years as a student assistant. In the last two jobs I had (one at a statistics company and another at an international cooperation NGO) I have been tasked regularly to translate documents from French to English and from English to French. Additionally, I grew up in the bilingual city of Montréal where these two languages are used interchangeably. I did all my elementary and secondary education in French and all my university (first and second cycles) in English.
